Kingdom Melodies
by Dawn ini was just listening to my new nicole c. mullen cd (she rocks!!
) and i had this thought...... i really enjoy christian rock music now, but i had never listened to it as a jw because i wasn't allowed.
so instead i listened to that every uplifting ac/dc, metalica, scorpions (still favorites of mine).. the society did release the "kingdom melodies" on tape though and everyone bought the complete set.....did anyone here ever really enjoy that music?

Yikes: I still have the complete set of LP's from the old pink songbook. Remember side 2 of the last album has the bethel family singing certian songs? What could be more gratifying than sitting around listening to the bethel family singing song #10 (old number) "From house to house"? Or, who remembers the wonderful (!) orchestral arrangement on song # 88 "Walking in integrity"?
PS: It's pretty sad that I still remember the song numbers from the old pink songbook which hasn't been used since 1984

Which religeon is correct ?
by musky incan anyone name a religeon that is the correct one?.
my personal criteria would be: shouldnt celebrate holidays/ only study the bible, not publications with someones personal ideas/ people won't worry about dressing in exactly a particular manner, welcoming others personal thoughts on the interpretation of scripture even if it differs from others/ not demand money for membership.. any religeons like this?

NY/NJ Area Late 60's/Early 70's
by El Kabong inif anyone is from the ny/nj area from the 60's and 70's, maybe you can help resolve a discussion.
there was an older brother and sister who would travel to various congregations in the area from time to time and put on puppet shows based on bible themes (of course) for the youth in the congregations.
i think i recall that they were killed in a auto accident.

I was at the SM last night.....
by VioletAnai inthey were discussing sodom and gomorah and how if jah had found a few righteous men in that city, both cities would be spared.
not a one was found.
however, they mention jah protected lot and his daughters, as they were faithful and living nearby.

Lot would have been disfellowshipped for immorality today.

OK, I have a question. Saturday night is Britcom night in the Washington DC area. I was watching a rerun of Are you being served? and they made references to food that I don't understand.
What is "Toad in the hole"? and what is "Rissoles"? (sp?)
